Chettinad Sweet Paniyaram Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Idli dosa batter
  • 4 tbsp Rice rava (grated rice)
  • 1/3 cup Jaggery (grated)
  • 3 tbsp Grated coconut
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as needed)
  • Oil (for greasing the pan)

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the idli dosa batter, rice rava, jaggery, grated coconut, salt, and cardamom powder. Add a little water to mix everything well. Let it sit for 5 minutes and mix again.
  2. Heat a paniyaram pan and add a small amount of oil into each hole.
  3. Once the pan is hot, pour the batter into each hole and cover with a lid. Cook on low flame.
  4. Once one side is cooked, flip the paniyaram to cook the other side until both sides turn golden brown.
  5. Remove from the pan and serve hot.
  6. Serve Chettinad Sweet Paniyaram with masala chai or filter coffee for a delightful evening snack.
