Pear and Cinnamon Sauce

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Pears 500g
Ground Cinnamon ½ tsp
Sugar 100g
White Wine ½ cup
Lemon Juice 1 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Start by washing, peeling, and cutting the pears into quarters. Remove the cores, and chop the pear flesh into small pieces.
  2. In a saucepan, add the chopped pears, white wine, sugar, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, lower the heat to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  4. Once the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat and allow it to cool.
  5. Once cooled, pass the mixture through a sieve or blend it with a hand mixer for a smooth consistency.
  6. Serve this delicious pear and cinnamon sauce as a topping for desserts, pancakes, or even roasted meats.
