Instructions:
-
Prepare the Ingredients:
Begin by preparing all your ingredients. If using meatballs, cut them into small pieces to ensure they cook quickly. Lightly beat the egg and set it aside. -
Prepare the Tofu:
Gently crush the tofu with your hands until it’s slightly broken up but not overly mushy. -
Sauté the Aromatics:
Heat a bit of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the shallots and garlic, and sauté until they release a fragrant aroma. Next, add the red chili pepper and tomato, continuing to cook until the mixture is aromatic and the tomato softens. -
Add Meatballs and Egg:
If using meatballs, add them to the pan and cook until they are browned. Stir in the beaten egg and cook until it starts to set. -
Incorporate the Vegetables:
Add the Chinese mustard greens (sawi) to the pan. Cook until the greens begin to wilt. -
Combine with Tofu:
Gently fold the tofu into the pan. Season with seasoning powder, granulated sugar, and ground black pepper. Adjust the seasoning to taste. -
Finish Cooking:
Allow the mixture to cook until the liquid reduces and the flavors meld together. -
Serve:
Once the dish has reached your desired consistency and flavor, remove from heat and serve hot.
