6 Once the rice is cooked, allow the casserole to stand, covered, for 10-12 minutes.
7 While the casserole is resting, toast the chopped pecans in a pie pan in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until fragrant and lightly browned.
8 Just before serving, fold the toasted pecans and chopped parsley into the rice mixture.
