Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 servings angel hair pasta, cooked according to package instructions
Instructions:
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add the diced green bell pepper, chopped onions, and chopped parsley to the saucepan. Saute until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.
- Season the vegetables to taste with Cajun Seasoning blend for a kick of flavor.
- Once the vegetables are tender, add the raw shrimp to the saucepan. Continue to saute everything together until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
- Pour in the cold heavy whipping cream, stirring continuously until it is well blended with the shrimp and vegetables.
- Allow the mixture to come to a slight boil, then reduce the heat to low to simmer gently.
- Let the creamy shrimp mixture simmer for 18-22 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
- While the creamy shrimp mixture simmers, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente.
- Once the creamy shrimp mixture has thickened slightly and the flavors have melded together, remove it from the heat.
- Serve the creamy shrimp over a bed of warm angel hair pasta, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired.
