Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 servings angel hair pasta, cooked according to package instructions

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Add the diced green bell pepper, chopped onions, and chopped parsley to the saucepan. Saute until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.
  3. Season the vegetables to taste with Cajun Seasoning blend for a kick of flavor.
  4. Once the vegetables are tender, add the raw shrimp to the saucepan. Continue to saute everything together until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.
  5. Pour in the cold heavy whipping cream, stirring continuously until it is well blended with the shrimp and vegetables.
  6. Allow the mixture to come to a slight boil, then reduce the heat to low to simmer gently.
  7. Let the creamy shrimp mixture simmer for 18-22 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
  8. While the creamy shrimp mixture simmers, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente.
  9. Once the creamy shrimp mixture has thickened slightly and the flavors have melded together, remove it from the heat.
  10. Serve the creamy shrimp over a bed of warm angel hair pasta, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired.

Notes:

  • For a spicier kick, you can add more Cajun Seasoning blend or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to customize this recipe by adding your favorite vegetables such as mushrooms or spinach.
  • If you prefer a thinner sauce, you can adjust the consistency by adding a splash of chicken or vegetable broth.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave before serving.
