Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Salmon fillets 600g
Sour cream 250g
Whole milk 50g
All-purpose flour 100g
Butter 40g
Fresh dill 1 bunch
Garlic cloves 1
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Salmon: Begin by cleaning the salmon fillets and carefully removing any bones using a pair of kitchen tweezers. Season the fillets generously with salt on both sides, then gently massage the seasoning into the fish.

  2. Coat the Salmon: Place the all-purpose flour on a plate and lightly dredge the salmon fillets, ensuring an even coating on both sides. Set aside.

  3. Prepare the Dill and Garlic: Wash and chop the fresh dill finely. Next, peel the garlic clove and, using the flat side of a knife, crush it (leaving the skin on).

  4. Make the Sour Cream Sauce: In a bowl, combine the sour cream and milk. Stir together using a fork until smooth and well mixed.

  5. Cook the Salmon: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter. Once the butter is sizzling, add the salmon fillets to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, turning once halfway through, until both sides are golden brown and the salmon is cooked through.

  6. Add the Sour Cream Sauce: Lower the heat and pour the sour cream and milk mixture into the skillet with the salmon. Add the crushed garlic and chopped dill to the pan. Stir gently, and cover the skillet with a lid. Allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes, letting the sauce thicken and the flavors meld together.

  7. Serve: Once the sauce has thickened, remove the pan from the heat. Discard the garlic cloves, and serve the salmon immediately, garnished with extra fresh dill if desired.
