Salmon with Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 200 grams fresh salmon fillets
  • 150 milliliters milk
  • 5 mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chicken bouillon powder, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Water, as needed
  • Italian herbs, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a touch of oil. Sauté the chopped onion until it becomes fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until they are tender and have released their moisture.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and mushrooms, stirring constantly until the mixture is dry and lightly golden.
  4. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Add water as needed to reach your desired sauce consistency.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, chicken bouillon powder, and Italian herbs. Stir well to combine.
  6. Place the salmon fillets into the pan and spoon the sauce over them. Allow the salmon to cook gently in the sauce until it is fully cooked and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Serve the salmon fillets topped with the creamy mushroom sauce.

Enjoy this delightful dish with a side of your favorite vegetables or over a bed of rice for a complete meal.
