Ingredients:

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 medium-sized carrots, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup lump crabmeat
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or cilantro

Instructions:

1 In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions, peppers, and carrots until onions are clear.
2 Add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes.
3 Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper to the onion mixture.
4 Pour in clam juice or seafood juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium.
5 Add oysters and crab, simmer until oysters plump up.
6 Gradually sprinkle up to 1 tablespoon of flour while stirring.
7 Pour in cream and milk, continue simmering.
8 Sprinkle paprika over the top without stirring.
9 Cook until heated through and thickened.
10 Sprinkle parsley or cilantro on top before serving.
