Course: Breakfast
Diet: Vegetarian

Ingredients:

For the Cheela:

Ingredient Quantity
Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
Instant Oats (Oatmeal) 40 grams

For the Stuffing:

Ingredient Quantity
Spinach (finely chopped) 200 grams
Paneer (Homemade Cottage Cheese, grated) 100 grams
Cumin Powder (Jeera) 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
Salt To taste
Eggless Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons
Nutralite Classic Spread For cooking

Preparation Time:

20 minutes

Cooking Time:

40 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cheela Batter:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and oats. Gradually add water, stirring constantly until you get a smooth, semi-thick batter. The consistency should resemble that of dosa batter, allowing it to spread easily on the tawa.
    • Set the batter aside to rest while you prepare the stuffing.
  2. Make the Stuffing:

    • Heat a wok or pan on medium heat and add a small amount of Nutralite Classic Spread.
    • Add the finely chopped spinach to the pan, sprinkle in some salt, and sauté it until the spinach wilts down and releases its moisture. Continue cooking until all the moisture evaporates.
    • Once the spinach is cooked, add the crumbled paneer, cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Stir well.
    • Add the eggless mayonnaise to the mixture, stirring until it is well incorporated and the filling becomes creamy. Turn off the heat and set the filling aside.
  3. Cook the Oats Cheela:

    • Preheat a skillet or dosa tawa over medium heat and lightly grease it with Nutralite Classic Spread.
    • Pour a ladle of the prepared cheela batter onto the tawa and spread it in a circular motion to form a thin crepe.
    • Drizzle a little Nutralite Classic Spread around the edges of the cheela and cook it on both sides, flipping occasionally, until it turns golden and slightly crisp.
    • Once cooked, remove the cheela from the skillet and place it on a platter.
  4. Assemble the Oats Cheela:

    • Place a generous amount of the creamy palak paneer filling in the center of the cheela. Fold it in half, enclosing the filling.
    • Repeat the process with the remaining cheela batter and stuffing.
  5. Serve:

    • Serve the Oats Cheela Stuffed with Creamy Palak Paneer as a nutritious, high-protein breakfast. For an extra boost, pair it with a refreshing Papaya Banana Smoothie for a complete and wholesome meal.

Tips:

  • You can add some crushed nuts or seeds to the palak paneer filling for extra texture and nutrition.
  • Adjust the spice levels by varying the amount of red chili powder, depending on your preference.
  • For a vegan version, you can substitute the eggless mayonnaise with a plant-based alternative.

Enjoy this delicious and healthy Oats Cheela stuffed with creamy Palak Paneer for a fulfilling breakfast that keeps you energized throughout the day!
