Crispy Fried Bandeng Otak-Otak with Egg
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces of Bandeng Otak-Otak (mackerel fish cakes)
- 1 egg
- Masako seasoning to taste (or other seasoning of your choice)
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
- Begin by slicing the Bandeng Otak-Otak that has been removed from its banana leaf wrapping into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, crack the egg and beat it thoroughly. Add Masako seasoning to taste, and mix until well combined.
- Dip each piece of Bandeng Otak-Otak into the seasoned egg mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated fish cakes to the pan.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once cooked to a perfect crisp, remove the otak-otak from the pan and drain excess oil on a plate lined with paper towels.
