Onion Beef Rings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 onion (additional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 grated carrot
  • Chopped green onions

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Aromatics: Begin by finely chopping the garlic and the medium onion. Combine these with the ground beef and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

  2. Add Vegetables: Stir in the grated carrot and chopped green onions. These ingredients will add both flavor and a pleasant texture to the beef mixture. Mix until the vegetables are well incorporated.

  3. Form the Onion Rings: Slice the additional onion into thick rings, separating each layer to create onion rings. You should have several rings to fill with the beef mixture.

  4. Stuff the Onion Rings: Carefully spoon the beef mixture into each onion ring, packing it down gently so it holds its shape during cooking.

  5. Prepare for Frying: In a shallow dish, beat the egg. In another dish, place the breadcrumbs. Dip each stuffed onion ring into the beaten egg, ensuring it is well-coated. Then, roll it in the breadcrumbs to create a crispy coating.

  6. Fry the Onion Rings: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the breaded onion rings, turning them occasionally, until they are golden brown and the beef is cooked through. This should take about 4-5 minutes per side.
