- 1 tablespoon margarine
- Sweet soy sauce to taste
- Soy sauce to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt and sugar if needed
- Water as needed
- Cooking oil as needed
Steps
-
Prepare the Chicken:
- Cut the chicken breast fillet into small cubes. Wash thoroughly and drain.
- Season the chicken cubes with black pepper. Massage the seasoning into the chicken and let it sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
-
Coat the Chicken:
- Take approximately 2 tablespoons of the Kobe flour and mix it with water to form a batter. Pour this batter over the chicken pieces and mix well to coat evenly.
- Roll the chicken pieces in the remaining Kobe flour, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated.
-
Fry the Chicken:
- Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken pieces until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
-
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onions and chilies to the pan. Sauté until the onions are translucent and the chilies are slightly softened.
- Add 1 tablespoon of margarine and a splash of water to the pan, stirring to combine.
- Stir in the chili sauce, tomato sauce, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Adjust the seasoning with salt and sugar if necessary. Taste and adjust the flavors to your preference.
- Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
-
Serve:
- Arrange the crispy fried chicken pieces on a serving dish.
- Pour the hot sauce over the chicken, making sure each piece is generously coated.
- Serve immediately while the chicken is still crispy. Enjoy this deliciously spicy and savory dish!
Tips:
- For an extra kick, add more chili sauce or use spicier varieties of chili peppers.
- Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying the chicken to achieve a perfectly crispy texture.
- Adjust the sweetness and saltiness of the sauce according to your preference for a balanced flavor.
