Nugget Ayam – Carrot Delight
Ingredients:
- 300 grams boneless chicken, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 free-range eggs
- 1 or 2 carrots, grated
- A pinch of seasoning mix (Ladaku) or any preferred seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon plain mayonnaise
- 3 cloves garlic
- Bread crumbs
- 50 ml water
- Butter, for greasing
- Oil, for frying
Steps:

Begin by blending the chicken with the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, 1 egg, grated carrots, seasoning mix, salt, sugar, mayonnaise, garlic, and water until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.

Transfer the mixture to a greased container or baking dish. Smooth out the top and lightly grease the surface with a bit of butter.

Steam the mixture for approximately 30 minutes. While the mixture is steaming, prepare two plates: one with beaten eggs and the other with bread crumbs.

After 30 minutes, remove the steamed mixture from the container and cut or shape it into nugget-sized pieces according to your preference.

Dip each nugget piece into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with the bread crumbs.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the nuggets until golden brown and crispy, ensuring they are cooked through.

Once fried, drain the nuggets on paper towels to remove excess oil.
