  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Bread crumbs
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Rub the chicken breast fillets with minced garlic, ground black pepper, and salt. Ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the seasonings.
    • Steam the seasoned chicken for approximately 10 minutes. Once done, remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  2. Coating Process:

    • Once the chicken is cool, dip each fillet into the beaten egg, making sure it is fully covered.
    • Next, dredge the chicken in the all-purpose flour, ensuring an even coating.
    • Dip the floured chicken back into the beaten egg for a second time.
    • Finally, coat the chicken with bread crumbs, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs to the chicken.
  3. Cooking or Storing:

    • Your chicken katsu is now ready to be fried until golden and crispy.
    • Alternatively, you can store the breaded chicken fillets in the freezer for a quick and easy meal option for your child’s lunchbox.
