Crispy Chicken Potato Malkist

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams potatoes, peeled and boiled until tender
  • 200 grams ground chicken
  • 100 grams carrots, finely chopped
  • 1 pack original Malkist Roma crackers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 1/4 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 pack chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 pack Sajiku bakwan flour
  • 1 boiled egg, thinly sliced
  • Water as needed
  • Cooking oil for frying and sautéing

Steps:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash until smooth.

  2. Prepare the Filling: In a pan, sauté garlic, shallots, and onion until fragrant. Add chopped carrots and ground chicken, cook until the chicken is fully cooked. Season with salt, sugar, and white pepper. Stir in chopped celery and mix well.

  3. Combine Filling with Potatoes: Mix the sautéed chicken mixture with mashed potatoes until well combined.

  4. Prepare the Coating: Prepare a batter with Sajiku bakwan flour and water, ensuring it’s neither too thick nor too thin.

  5. Assembly: Take one piece of Malkist Roma cracker, place a spoonful of the chicken-potato mixture on top, then sandwich another Malkist cracker on top. Dip the assembled cracker sandwich into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated.

  6. Frying: Heat cooking oil in a frying pan. Fry the coated Malkist sandwiches until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

  7. Serve: Cut each fried Malkist sandwich diagonally into triangles. Garnish with sliced boiled egg on top. Serve with your choice of dipping sauce like chili sauce, mayonnaise, or spicy chili.

Enjoy these crispy and flavorful Chicken Potato Malkist bites as a delightful snack or appetizer!
