Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Begin by trimming any excess skin or fat from the chicken breasts. Then, slice the chicken breasts into strips measuring approximately 1/2 inch x 3-4 inches.

  2. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, combine water, salt, and MSG to create the marinade. Place the chicken strips into the marinade and let them sit for 20 minutes, turning them once halfway through.

  3. Prepare the Coating: In a medium-sized bowl, beat the egg and mix it with the milk and a dash of pepper. In a small plastic bag, combine the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, Mexican chili powder, and MSG. Shake the bag to ensure thorough mixing.

  4. Preheat the Oil: Preheat the oil in a deep-fryer to 220°C (428°F).

  5. Coat the Chicken: Once the chicken has marinated for 20 minutes, transfer each piece to paper towels to drain excess liquid.
