Crispy Chicken with Simple Butter Sauce

Ingredients

For the Crispy Chicken:

  • 1 chicken breast, diced
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, can be skipped)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 5 shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1 packet Saori butter sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • Water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
    • Prepare a wet batter by combining the minced garlic, 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (if using), salt, pepper, and enough water to form a smooth consistency.
    • Prepare a dry coating mixture by combining the remaining 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (if using), salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat and Fry the Chicken:

    • Dip the chicken pieces into the wet batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
    • Coat the battered chicken pieces in the dry coating mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating adheres well.
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the coated chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  3. Make the Sauce:

    • In a separate pan, sauté the minced garlic and sliced shallots until fragrant and golden brown.
    • Add the Saori butter sauce, ketchup, and chili sauce to the pan. Stir well to combine.
    • Adjust the sauce’s consistency by adding water as needed. Simmer until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
  4. Serve:

    • Arrange the crispy chicken pieces on a serving plate.
    • Pour the butter sauce over the chicken, ensuring an even coating.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!
