For the Crispy Chicken:
- 1 chicken breast, diced
- 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, can be skipped)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Sauce:
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 5 shallots, thinly sliced
- 1 packet Saori butter sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- Water, as needed
Instructions
-
Prepare the Chicken:
- Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare a wet batter by combining the minced garlic, 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (if using), salt, pepper, and enough water to form a smooth consistency.
- Prepare a dry coating mixture by combining the remaining 3 tablespoons of flour, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (if using), salt, and pepper.
-
Coat and Fry the Chicken:
- Dip the chicken pieces into the wet batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Coat the battered chicken pieces in the dry coating mixture, pressing lightly to ensure the coating adheres well.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the coated chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
-
Make the Sauce:
- In a separate pan, sauté the minced garlic and sliced shallots until fragrant and golden brown.
- Add the Saori butter sauce, ketchup, and chili sauce to the pan. Stir well to combine.
- Adjust the sauce’s consistency by adding water as needed. Simmer until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
-
Serve:
- Arrange the crispy chicken pieces on a serving plate.
- Pour the butter sauce over the chicken, ensuring an even coating.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
