Crispy Egg Bites (Telur Krispi)

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons crispy chicken seasoning mix (such as Sasa)
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Egg Crepes: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs to make a smooth mixture. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil. Pour a small amount of the egg mixture into the pan, tilting the pan to spread the mixture thinly. Cook until set but not browned, then carefully flip and cook the other side. Repeat to make four thin egg crepes.

  2. Cut the Egg Crepes: Allow the egg crepes to cool slightly, then cut them into small, bite-sized pieces according to your preference.

  3. Make the Dipping Batter: In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of flour with a small amount of water to create a slightly runny batter.

  4. Coat the Egg Pieces: Dip each piece of egg crepe into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated. Then roll the coated pieces in the remaining flour mixture until evenly covered.

  5. Fry the Egg Bites: Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated egg pieces to the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, then remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  6. Serve: Enjoy the crispy egg bites warm, paired with your choice of ketchup or mayonnaise for dipping.

These crispy egg bites offer a delightful crunch and are perfect as a snack or appetizer.
