Steamed and Fried Egg Tofu Bites

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 pieces of firm tofu
  • 2 stalks of green onions
  • 1/2 carrot (optional, if available)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Seasoning, to taste
  • Oil for greasing and frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Begin by finely mincing the garlic clove and grinding the black pepper. If you have a carrot on hand, grate it using a cheese grater. Chop the green onions into small pieces.

  2. Prepare Tofu: Using a fork, crumble the firm tofu into small, fine pieces.

  3. Mix Egg Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with a fork. Add the minced garlic, ground pepper, salt, and seasoning to the eggs. Stir well to combine.

  4. Combine Ingredients: Gently fold the crumbled tofu, chopped green onions, and grated carrot (if using) into the egg mixture. Ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  5. Prepare Steaming Container: Grease a heatproof steaming container or dish with a small amount of cooking oil to prevent sticking.

  6. Steam: Pour the egg and tofu mixture into the prepared container. Steam over medium heat for approximately 15 minutes, or until the egg is fully set and firm.

  7. Cool and Slice: Allow the steamed mixture to cool slightly before removing it from the container. Once cooled, cut into bite-sized pieces.
