Title: Fried Ikan Kembung (Fried Mackerel)

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Mackerel fish (ikan kembung) 1/2 kg
Shallots (bawang merah) 8 cloves
Garlic (bawang putih) 7 cloves
Fresh turmeric (kunyit) 2 cm piece
Salt (garam) To taste
Chicken bouillon powder (kaldu bubuk) To taste
Cooking oil (minyak) As needed
Water (air) As needed

Instructions:

Step Action
1. Clean the mackerel fish thoroughly, and make shallow cuts on both sides of each fish.
2. Blend the shallots, garlic, and turmeric into a smooth paste. Add water to help blend the ingredients. Season the mixture with salt and chicken bouillon powder to taste.
3. Pour the spice mixture over the fish, making sure each fish is coated evenly. Let the fish marinate in the spice blend for 15 minutes.
4. Heat enough oil in a pan for frying the fish. Once the oil is hot, fry the mackerel until golden brown and crispy.
5. Remove the fried fish from the oil and drain excess oil.
6. Serve the fried mackerel hot with a side of your choice. Enjoy your meal!

Tips:

  • Serve with steamed rice or a fresh salad for a well-rounded meal.
  • You can adjust the seasoning to your taste by adding more salt or chicken bouillon powder if needed.
