Crispy Fried Tofu Recipe (Tahu Tepung Goreng)

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of firm tofu
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Beef-flavored bouillon and salt, to taste
  • Mineral water (enough to create a batter)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces according to your preference. Ensure they are uniformly sized for even cooking.

  2. Prepare the Batter: Crush the garlic clove and mix it with the flour in a bowl. Gradually add mineral water to the mixture, stirring until a smooth batter forms. Season with beef-flavored bouillon and salt to taste, and mix well to ensure the seasonings are evenly distributed.

  3. Coat the Tofu: Dip each tofu piece into the batter, making sure it is well coated. Allow the coated tofu to sit for a few minutes so the flavors can be absorbed.

  4. Fry the Tofu: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the battered tofu pieces into the pan. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  5. Serve: Remove the tofu from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy, golden tofu!
