Ingredients

Fish Seasoning:

Ingredient Quantity
Gurame fish fillet 1 whole
Lime juice 1 lime
Ground pepper 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic 1 clove
Spicy all-purpose flour 1 pack
Beaten egg 1 egg

Sauce:

Ingredient Quantity
Onion (sliced) 1 onion
Garlic (sliced) 1 clove
Carrot (sliced to preference) 1 carrot
Oyster sauce 1 tablespoon
Ketchup 5 tablespoons
Chili sauce 6 tablespoons
Sugar to taste
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fish: Rinse the gurame fillet thoroughly. In a mixing bowl, combine the fish with lime juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Allow it to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

  2. Coating the Fish: In one bowl, beat the egg. In another bowl, place the spicy all-purpose flour. Once the fish is marinated, dip it into the beaten egg, then coat it evenly with the flour.

  3. Frying the Fish: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the coated fish and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  4. Making the Sauce: In a separate pan, heat a little oil for sautéing. Add sliced garlic and onion, cooking until fragrant. Stir in the oyster sauce, ketchup, chili sauce, and a suitable amount of water. Mix well.

  5. Final Touches: Season the sauce with sugar, salt, and pepper to taste. Add the sliced carrot and cook until tender. Stir continuously to prevent burning.

  6. Serving: Once the sauce is ready, pour it over the fried fish or serve it on the side as a dipping sauce.

Enjoy your Crispy Gurame with a delightful sweet and sour twist that brings the flavors to life!
