Homemade Beef Steak with Brown Sauce
Ingredients:
For the Steak:
- 100 grams of beef (thinly sliced)
- 50 grams of seasoned flour
- 50 grams of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 potatoes
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion (sliced into rings)
- Oil for frying
For the Brown Sauce:
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1 sachet of beef seasoning (such as Royco)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
- Margarine for sautéing
- Salt to taste

Prepare the Beef:
- Thinly slice the beef and gently pound it with a meat mallet to tenderize.
- In a bowl, mix together the seasoned flour, all-purpose flour, and ground black pepper.
- Dredge the beef slices in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the coated beef slices until they are golden brown and crispy. Set aside.

Prepare the Vegetables:
- Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges. Fry the wedges in the same pan used for the beef until golden and crispy.
- Slice the carrot and cook it in boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Slice the onion into rings. Dip the onion rings in some of the flour mixture and fry until crispy. Set aside.

Make the Brown Sauce:
- In a pan, melt some margarine over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant and lightly browned.
- Add water to the pan and stir in the beef seasoning, salt, and ground black pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the sweet soy sauce and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of cold water, then add it to the sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.

- Arrange the crispy beef steaks on plates. Add the fried potato wedges, boiled carrot slices, and crispy onion rings as accompaniments.
- Pour the rich brown sauce over the steak or serve it on the side.
