Simple Chicken Nuggets Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 400 grams chicken fillet
  • 2 large eggs
  • For the seasoning:
    • 5 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
    • 30 grams grated carrot
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/3 teaspoon sugar
    • 1 packet (approximately 1 tablespoon) chicken stock powder
    • 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • For the coating:
    • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • Water, as needed
    • Coarse bread crumbs, for coating

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:

    • Cut the chicken fillet into smaller pieces and place them in a blender along with the eggs. Blend until the mixture is well combined and smooth.
  2. Season and Mix:

    • In a large bowl, combine the minced garlic, chopped green onion, grated carrot, salt, black pepper, sugar, chicken stock powder, and tapioca flour. Add the blended chicken mixture to this bowl and stir until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  3. Steam the Mixture:

    • Grease a steaming tray or pan with butter. Pour the chicken mixture into the tray and steam over boiling water for 20 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  4. Cut and Coat:

    • Once the steamed chicken mixture has cooled slightly, cut it into nugget-sized pieces.
    • Prepare a coating mixture by mixing the all-purpose flour with enough water to form a thin batter. Dip each nugget piece into this batter, then coat it with coarse bread crumbs.
  5. Fry the Nuggets:

    • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the coated nuggets in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve:

    • Remove the nuggets from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces or as part of a meal.
