- 1 pack of fried tofu skin (contains 10 pieces)
- 5 shallots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 8 green chilies
- 5 bird’s eye chilies
- 1 tomato
- 1 stalk of lemongrass, smashed
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, smashed
- 1 thumb-sized piece of galangal, smashed
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 1 pack of coconut milk (Kara brand)

- Rinse the dried fish (ikan cucut) thoroughly with warm water to help reduce any strong odor.
- Cut the tofu skin into bite-sized pieces and fry until golden and crispy. Similarly, fry the rinsed fish until crispy and set both aside.

- Slice the shallots, garlic, and green chilies. Cut the tomato into wedges.
- In a large pan or wok, heat some oil over medium heat. Sauté the sliced shallots, garlic, green chilies, and bird’s eye chilies until fragrant and golden brown.
