Sempol Ayam: Indonesian Chicken Skewers Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250 grams ground chicken
- 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 2 cloves fried garlic
- 3 cloves fried shallots
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
- 1 large egg
- 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
- Oil for frying

- 1 large egg, beaten

Begin by finely grinding the fried garlic and fried shallots until they form a smooth paste. Combine this aromatic mixture with the ground chicken in a large mixing bowl. Stir well to integrate the flavors.

Add the tapioca flour, salt, ground black pepper, chicken bouillon powder, and egg to the bowl. Incorporate these ingredients thoroughly into the chicken mixture. Next, fold in the chopped green onion and celery, mixing until evenly distributed. To ensure the seasoning is just right, cook a small spoonful of the mixture in boiling water and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
