Sempol Ayam Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250 grams ground chicken
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
- Salt and chicken bouillon (such as Royco) to taste
Spice Paste:
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns
Coating:
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt to taste
- Skewers (as needed)

Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, eggs, tapioca flour, all-purpose flour, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and thinly sliced green onion.
- Season the mixture with salt and chicken bouillon to taste.
- Using a mortar and pestle or a food processor, grind the garlic and whole peppercorns into a fine paste.
- Add the spice paste to the chicken mixture and mix until well incorporated. Adjust the seasoning to your preference.
