  3. Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, add the all-purpose flour and the ground spice paste. Gradually add water, mixing until the batter is smooth and free of lumps, ensuring it’s not too runny.

  4. Incorporate Green Onions: Fold the sliced green onions into the batter and taste for seasoning, adjusting as necessary.

  5. Fry the Tempeh: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Dip each piece of tempeh into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off before gently placing it into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Serve: Once cooked, remove the tempeh from the oil and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot as a delicious snack or as part of a meal.
