Spicy Korean-Style Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 5 pieces chicken
  • 1 packet Sajiku flour (or any crispy flour mix)
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 3 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 4 tbsp ABC chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • Boncabe chili powder, to taste
  • 1 tbsp margarine

Instructions:

  1. Start by preparing the chicken. Dip each piece of chicken into beaten egg, then coat generously with Sajiku flour. Repeat the process: dip in egg, coat in flour again.

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from oil and set aside on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, tomato sauce, ABC chili sauce, oyster sauce, honey, sugar, salt, black pepper, and Boncabe chili powder according to your spice preference. Mix well.

  4. In a separate pan, melt margarine over medium heat. Add the sauce mixture and stir-fry for a few minutes. If needed, add a little water to adjust consistency.

  5. Add the fried chicken into the sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken evenly.

  6. Spicy Korean-style fried chicken is ready to be served! Enjoy this flavorful dish hot with steamed rice or as a delicious appetizer.

This Spicy Korean-Style Fried Chicken recipe combines crispy fried chicken with a tangy, spicy sauce that’s sure to tantalize your taste buds. Perfect for gatherings or a satisfying meal, it brings the bold flavors of Korean cuisine to your table.
