Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup cheddar cheese
  • Parchment paper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cheese:

    • Begin by laying out a piece of parchment paper on a microwave-safe plate. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the parchment, creating a thin layer.
  2. Microwave the Cheese:

    • Place the plate in the microwave and cook on high for about one minute. The cheese should melt and become bubbly. Keep a close eye on it to ensure it doesn’t overcook.
  3. Shape the Taco Shell:

    • As soon as the cheese is melted and still flexible, carefully remove it from the microwave. While the cheese is still warm and pliable, use the parchment paper to bend the cheese over a round object, such as a small bowl or a cup. This will help form it into a taco shell shape. For a more authentic taco shell look, use a smaller diameter object.
  4. Cool and Set:

    • Allow the cheese to cool and harden around the shape of the object. This process should only take a few minutes. As the cheese cools, it will firm up into a crispy taco shell.
  5. Remove from Parchment:

    • Once the cheese has completely cooled and set, gently peel it away from the parchment paper. The result will be a perfectly shaped low-carb taco shell.
