Ingredients
- 1/2 kg ikan selar (cleaned and rinsed with lime juice)
- 15 red chilies
- 5 red bird’s eye chilies
- 5 shallots
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 small tomato
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Seasoning powder to taste (such as Sasa)
- 1/2 cup water
- Cooking oil for sautéing

- Begin by frying the cleaned ikan selar until it reaches a crispy texture. Set aside.

- In a mortar and pestle or blender, combine the red chilies, bird’s eye chilies, shallots, garlic, and tomato. Grind or blend until you achieve a smooth paste.
