Spicy Dendeng Sapi Kering
Ingredients:

- 8 slices of beef (pre-sliced, available at supermarkets)
- Cooking oil, for frying
For the Spice Paste:
- 12 red curly chilies
- 8 small red chilies
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3 shallots
- 2 candlenuts
- 3 bay leaves
- Salt, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
For the Coating Spice Mix:
- 1 teaspoon coriander seeds (ground)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef: Use pre-sliced beef from the supermarket, which is easier to dry out when frying. Coat the beef slices with the coating spice mix, including ground coriander, ground black pepper, and salt. Set aside.
-
Make the Spice Paste: Blend together the red curly chilies, small red chilies, garlic, shallots, and candlenuts until smooth. Exclude the bay leaves from this blending process.
-
Fry the Beef: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the beef slices until they are crispy and dry. Remove and set aside.
-
Cook the Spice Paste: In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the spice paste until fragrant. Add the fried beef slices to the pan with the spice paste. Stir well, adjusting the seasoning with salt and sugar to taste.
-
Serve: Enjoy your spicy Dendeng Sapi Kering as a flavorful snack or accompaniment to your meal.
