Spicy Stuffed Tofu (Tahu Pedas/Tahu Granat)
Ingredients:

| Grated carrots | ½ kg |
| Sausages, chopped small | 6 pieces |

Instructions:

Preparing the Tofu:
- Cut each of the 5 pieces of tofu into 8 smaller pieces, giving you a total of 40.
- Soak the tofu pieces in salted water for a few minutes to season them. Drain and pat dry.
- Deep fry the tofu until golden and crispy. Set aside to cool.

- Heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. SautƩ the chili paste until fragrant and fully cooked.

- Season with ground pepper, sugar, and salt to taste. Cook until the carrots are tender and the sausages are fully cooked.

- Stuff each tofu piece with the cooled vegetable and sausage filling.

- Dip each stuffed tofu piece into the batter, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Roll the coated tofu in bread crumbs until fully covered. Arrange the tofu on a tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to help the coating set.

- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated stuffed tofu until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per side.
- Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
