Bird’s eye chili (sliced) 3 pieces
Red chili (sliced) 3 pieces
Garlic (minced) 3 cloves
Green onion (sliced) 1 stalk
Seasoning (e.g., chicken stock powder) To taste
Cooking oil 1 tablespoon
Margarine 1 tablespoon

Coating Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
All-purpose flour 3 tablespoons
Saji flour (or similar) 3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Cut the firm tofu into small cubes and rinse them under cold water.
  2. Make the Coating: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and Saji flour to create the coating mixture.
  3. Coat the Tofu: Dredge each tofu cube in the coating mixture, pressing gently to ensure the flour adheres well.
  4. Fry the Tofu: Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the coated tofu until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add margarine. Sauté minced garlic, sliced bird’s eye chili, red chili, and green onion until fragrant.
  6. Combine and Serve: Add the fried tofu to the pan, sprinkle with seasoning, and toss to combine. Serve hot and enjoy!
