Tahu Jeletot: Crispy Stuffed Tofu Bites
Ingredients:
- 10 pieces Tahu Pong (crispy tofu)
- Oil for frying
For the Filling:

- 3 carrots, finely diced
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 stalk green onion, finely sliced
- 15 red Thai chilies
- 1 clove garlic
- Salt, to taste
- 1/4 cup water
- Seasoning (such as Royco Chicken Flavor)
For the Batter:
- All-purpose flour, as needed
- Water, as needed
- Seasoning (such as Royco Chicken Flavor)
- Ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:

Prepare the Filling:
- Start by grinding the red Thai chilies, garlic, and salt together until you achieve a coarse paste.
- Heat a bit of oil in a pan and sauté the chili-garlic paste until aromatic.
- Add the diced carrots, shredded cabbage, and sliced green onions to the pan.
- Season with Royco Chicken Flavor or your preferred seasoning. Stir well and cook until the vegetables are tender and the mixture is well combined. Set aside.

Stuff the Tofu:
- Carefully slice the Tahu Pong (crispy tofu) in half horizontally, creating a pocket without cutting all the way through.
- Stuff each tofu piece with the prepared vegetable filling.

Prepare the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, water, seasoning, and ground black pepper. Mix until the batter reaches a smooth, thick consistency.
- Dip each stuffed tofu piece into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.

Fry the Tofu:
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the battered tofu pieces into the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the tofu from the oil and drain on paper towels.

- Transfer the crispy stuffed tofu to a serving plate. Enjoy warm for the best taste. These delicious bites are perfect as a snack or appetizer.
