Ingredients

Bahan I Quantity

Garlic 4 cloves
Shallots 3 cloves
Bumbu (Seasoning)
Salt To taste
Sugar To taste
Pepper To taste
Soy Sauce To taste
Bahan II
Inari-age (Pocket Tofu) 3 pieces
Egg (beaten, with a pinch of salt) 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a pan, heat a little oil and sauté the ground garlic and shallots until fragrant. Add the fish cakes and stir-fry for a minute. Then, add the cooked rice, followed by salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Mix well and adjust the seasoning to your taste. Set aside to cool.

  2. Stuff the Tofu: Carefully slice the top of each piece of inari-age to create an opening. Stuff the rice mixture into the tofu pockets, pressing down gently to pack it tightly.

  3. Coat and Fry: Dip each stuffed tofu in the beaten egg, ensuring they are well coated. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the tofu until golden brown and crispy on all sides.

  4. Serve: Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Slice the stuffed tofu as desired and serve hot.
