Tahu Goreng Isi Sayur
Ingredients:
- 2 Chinese tofu blocks
- 2 carrots
- 1 large stalk of green onion
- 4 cloves of red onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Aromatics:
Begin by finely grinding the red onions and garlic into a smooth paste. This will be the base of your flavor profile. -
Prepare the Tofu:
In a mixing bowl, crumble the Chinese tofu into small, manageable pieces. Set aside. -
Prepare the Vegetables:
Dice the carrots into small cubes and chop the green onion. Combine these vegetables with the crumbled tofu in the mixing bowl. -
Season the Mixture:
Add the ground onion and garlic paste, black pepper, and salt to the tofu and vegetable mixture. Stir well to ensure that all ingredients are evenly distributed. -
Add the Egg:
Crack the egg into the bowl and mix thoroughly until the egg is fully incorporated into the tofu and vegetable mixture. -
Steam the Mixture:
Pour the tofu mixture into a heatproof dish or a steaming tray. Place it in a steamer and steam for approximately 15 minutes, or until it is set and firm to the touch. -
Cool and Slice:
Once steamed, remove the dish from the steamer and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces. -
Fry the Tofu:
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Carefully add the tofu pieces to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides. -
Serve:
Remove the fried tofu from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve warm as a delicious snack or appetizer.
