Crispy Sweet and Sour Beef

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Royco chicken seasoning (or beef seasoning if available)
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Saori sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 cup Kobe crispy flour (or any crispy coating flour)
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef: Thinly slice the beef and briefly blanch it in boiling water. Once slightly cooked, drain and coat the beef slices with Kobe crispy flour that has been mixed with a small amount of water to create a batter.

  2. Fry the Beef: Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the coated beef slices until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

  3. Prepare the Sauce: In a separate pan, heat a small amount of oil and sauté the finely chopped shallots and minced garlic until they become fragrant and slightly golden.

  4. Add the Sauces: Pour in the Saori sweet and sour sauce and chili sauce. Stir well to combine. Add the Royco seasoning and mix thoroughly. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

  5. Combine Beef and Sauce: Once the sauce has thickened slightly, add the crispy beef slices to the pan. Toss to ensure the beef is well-coated with the sauce.

  6. Finish and Serve: Add the sliced green onions and stir to combine. Serve hot and enjoy your crispy sweet and sour beef!

Enjoy your meal, and happy cooking!
