Keripik Tempe (Tempe Chips)

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe (unprocessed) 1 board
Tapioca flour 3 tablespoons
Rice flour 170 grams
Coriander Ā½ teaspoon
Garlic 2 cloves
Powdered broth to taste
Salt to taste
Lime leaves 4 leaves
Water 250 ml
Cooking oil as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Spice Mixture: Start by grinding the garlic, coriander, and lime leaves into a fine paste. In a mixing bowl, combine this spice mixture with the tapioca flour, rice flour, powdered broth, salt, and water. Stir until the batter is smooth, and adjust the seasoning to taste.

  2. Fry the Tempe: Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Dip each piece of tempe into the seasoned flour mixture, ensuring itā€™s well-coated, and carefully place it in the hot oil.

  3. Cook Until Crisp: Fry the tempe chips until they are golden brown and crispy. Once cooked, remove them from the oil and let them cool on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

  4. Storage and Serving: After cooling, transfer the chips into an airtight container or jar. These delightful Keripik Tempe are now ready to be served as a tasty snack. Enjoy!

Happy Cooking!
