Tempe Mendoan Recipe

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe 1 long piece (approximately 200g)
All-purpose flour 200g
Green onions 1 bunch
Garlic 2 cloves
Salt 1 teaspoon
Water As needed (to mix)
Cooking oil 200ml

Instructions:

  1. Begin by slicing the tempe into thin pieces, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.
  2. Finely chop the green onions and set them aside.
  3. In a mortar or food processor, grind the garlic with salt until you achieve a smooth paste.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and chopped green onions. Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring until you achieve a batter that is not too runny.
  5. Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully dip the sliced tempe into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated, then gently place it in the oil.
  6. Fry the tempe until it turns golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Enjoy your delicious Tempe Mendoan as a delightful snack or appetizer!
