Tempe with Salted Egg Sauce

Ingredients

Tempe (sliced) ½ papan (about 100g)
All-purpose flour 100g
Sago flour 50g
Chicken stock powder To taste
Salt To taste
Black pepper To taste
Eggs 1
Salted egg sauce ingredients:
Salted egg yolks (mashed) 2
Liquid milk To taste
Garlic (finely minced) 2 cloves
Butter (for sautéing) As needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sago flour, chicken stock powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust the seasoning to your preference.

  2. Coat the Tempe: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg. Dip each slice of tempe into the egg, ensuring it’s well-coated, then roll it in the flour mixture to create a crunchy exterior.

  3. Fry the Tempe: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry the coated tempe slices until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
