Tempe Tepung Sajiku

Description: A delicious and crispy Indonesian snack made by coating tempeh in Sajiku all-purpose flour, perfect for dipping in chili sauce!

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tempeh 1 piece (approx. 300g)
Sajiku all-purpose flour 1 packet
Water As needed
Cooking oil For frying
Fresh chili (cabe rawit) To serve

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tempeh: Slice the tempeh into thin pieces for even cooking and optimal crispiness.
  2. Make the Batter: In a bowl, pour in the Sajiku all-purpose flour and gradually add water until you achieve a smooth batter that can coat the tempeh.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat enough cooking oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers, indicating it’s ready for frying.
  4. Coat and Fry: Dip each slice of tempeh into the batter, allowing any excess to drip off, then carefully place them into the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding, ensuring they cook evenly.
  5. Drain and Serve: Once golden brown and crispy, remove the tempeh from the oil and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with fresh chili on the side for an extra kick.

Enjoy your Tempe Tepung Sajiku as a tasty snack or appetizer that showcases the delightful flavors of Indonesian cuisine!
