Bakwan Tempe Recipe

Ingredients

Tempe (cubed and boiled) As needed
Bean sprouts As needed
Carrot (diced or julienned) 1 medium carrot
Green beans (thickly sliced) 5 pieces
Instant batter flour 1 packet
Water As needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the instant batter flour with enough water to create a thick, smooth batter.
  2. Combine the Vegetables: Add the bean sprouts, diced carrot, thickly sliced green beans, and cubed tempe into the batter, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  3. Fry the Mixture: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Scoop portions of the mixture and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Serve: Once fried, remove the Bakwan Tempe from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with a side of sambal for an added kick.
