Simple Tahu and Carrot Perkedel

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Begin by placing the tofu in a bowl and mashing it with a fork until it becomes a smooth, crumbly texture. Ensure there are no large chunks remaining.

  2. Mix Ingredients: Add the finely diced carrot to the mashed tofu. Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and chicken bouillon (Masako) for a rich, savory flavor. Pour in the beaten egg and sprinkle the flour over the top.

  3. Combine: Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. The mixture should be slightly sticky but manageable. If it seems too wet, add a little more flour.

  4. Shape and Fry: Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of the mixture and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Flatten each scoop slightly with the back of the spoon to form small patties.
