Tahu and Bean Sprout Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 4 large blocks of tofu, cut into cubes
- 1/4 ounce of bean sprouts
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 5 large red chili peppers, sliced
- Ground black pepper
- Salt
- Sugar
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- Cooking oil, as needed for stir-frying
Instructions:
-
Fry the Tofu: Heat oil in a pan and fry the tofu cubes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
-
Sauté Aromatics: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic and sliced chili peppers until fragrant and lightly golden.
-
Cook the Bean Sprouts: Add the bean sprouts to the pan. Stir-fry briefly and add a splash of water to help soften the bean sprouts.
-
Season: Season with salt, sugar, oyster sauce, and ground black pepper. Stir well to combine and ensure the bean sprouts are evenly coated with the seasonings.
-
Combine with Tofu: Gently fold the fried tofu cubes into the mixture, stirring until the tofu is well-coated with the sauce and the bean sprouts are evenly distributed.
-
Serve: Once everything is heated through and well mixed, remove from heat. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately.
