Nugget Tahu: A Delicious Vegetarian Delight

Ingredients

Worcestershire Sauce 1 teaspoon
Green Onions 2 stalks, sliced
Ground Pepper To taste

Bouillon Powder 2 teaspoons

Breadcrumbs As needed
All-Purpose Flour As needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Start by mashing the firm tofu in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and golden brown.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In the bowl with the mashed tofu, add the sautéed onion and garlic. Mix well, then incorporate the Worcestershire sauce, ground pepper, salt, and bouillon powder.
  4. Add Eggs: Pour in the beaten eggs and mix until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  5. Wrap and Steam: Take portions of the tofu mixture, wrap them in plastic wrap or banana leaves, and steam for 15 minutes until set.
  6. Cool and Cut: Once steamed, remove the wraps and let the tofu cool slightly. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Coat the Nuggets: Dip each tofu piece first into the all-purpose flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully covered.
  8. Fry Until Golden: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the tofu nuggets until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  9. Serve: Drain on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
