- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 piece of corn vermicelli
- 1 stalk of spring onion, thinly sliced
- 1 stalk of celery, thinly sliced
- 1 egg
- 1 sachet of Masako seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely minced

For the Coating:
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tablespoons of tapioca flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of water
Instructions:

Prepare the Vermicelli:
- Soak the corn vermicelli in hot water until it becomes soft. Drain and cut into small pieces.

Mix the Main Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed tofu, grated carrot, soaked vermicelli, and sliced spring onion and celery. Mix until well combined.
- Add the Masako seasoning, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Stir to blend all the flavors. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Add the egg to the mixture and stir until evenly incorporated.

Steam the Tofu Mixture:
- Spoon the tofu mixture into talam cake molds until all the mixture is used up.
- Steam the molds filled with the tofu mixture for about 15 minutes.

Cool and Unmold:
- After steaming, remove the molds from the steamer and let them cool slightly.
- Carefully remove the tofu cakes from the molds and let them cool completely.

Prepare the Coating:
- In a bowl, combine the beaten egg, tapioca flour, salt, pepper, and water. Mix until smooth to form a batter.

Fry the Tofu Cakes:
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each tofu cake into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.
- Fry the coated tofu cakes in hot oil until they are golden brown and crispy.

Serve:
- Remove the tofu cakes from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or snack.
