Ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized tofu blocks, cut into small cubes
- 3 eggs
- Red chili peppers (optional, to taste)
- 4 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- Salt and sugar, to taste
- Water, as needed
- 4 tablespoons roasted peanuts
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into small, bite-sized cubes.
-
Prepare the Eggs: Beat the eggs in a bowl until well combined.
-
Coat the Tofu: Add the tofu cubes to the beaten eggs. Season with salt, pepper, and any desired seasoning. Mix well to ensure the tofu is evenly coated.
-
Fry the Tofu: Heat the cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the tofu cubes until they turn a golden brown color, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking.
-
Make the Peanut Sauce: In a mortar and pestle or food processor, grind the garlic, roasted peanuts, sugar, salt, and optional red chili peppers into a smooth paste.
-
Add Liquid: Gradually add water to the peanut paste, stirring until the sauce reaches a thick but pourable consistency. Mix in the sweet soy sauce and adjust seasoning if needed.
-
Serve: Drizzle the peanut sauce over the fried tofu cubes. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious, savory blend of tofu and rich peanut sauce.
