Tahu Saus Telor Asin

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tahu (tofu), cut into quarters 3 pieces
Ready-to-use seasoning flour As needed
Cooking oil For frying
For the sauce:
Garlic, crushed 3 cloves
Salted egg 1 piece
Remaining seasoning flour As needed
Water As needed
Salt To taste
Royco seasoning To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Begin by coating the tofu pieces with the ready-to-use seasoning flour, allowing it to absorb the flavors.

  2. Fry the Tofu: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated tofu pieces and fry until they turn a beautiful golden yellow. Once cooked, remove and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

  3. Make the Sauce: Cut the salted egg in half and scoop out both the white and yolk into a bowl. Mash well, then add the remaining seasoning flour and sufficient water to create a smooth mixture. Set aside.

  4. Sauté Garlic: In the same pan, add a bit more oil if necessary, and sauté the crushed garlic until fragrant.

  5. Combine Sauce Ingredients: Pour in the salted egg mixture, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and Royco to taste, adjusting as necessary.

  6. Serve: Drizzle the rich salted egg sauce over the crispy fried tofu and serve immediately while warm for the ultimate delightful experience.
